Cobham Mission Systems to supply NAVAIR with GGU

Cobham Mission Systems will produce and deliver two lots of GGU-25 oxygen concentrators for the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

The US-based manufacturer of military oxygen life support systems for aircraft this week (9th March) confirmed the new contract that includes delivery of a fleet-wide oxygen concentrator legacy system upgrade for US Navy T-45 Goshawk jet trainers.

Each of the enhanced smart concentrators will deliver optimal oxygen for pilots while also monitoring and recording necessary operational data. GGU-25 is designed to be a smart concentrator that delivers the required amount of oxygen to the pilot and also records key operational parameters in real time.

Commenting on the contract, Jason Apelquist, Senior Vice-President of Business Development and Strategy for Cobham Mission Systems, said, "We are honoured to have the Navy's ongoing confidence in our products and to be given this opportunity to continue serving the T-45 fleet."
